Job Description

Staff Accountant (for Canadian, Mexican, South American, The Caribbean, and Jamaican Citizens only)

Our client is a start-up company that provides cloud-based tax and accounting services to business

clients. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. The Staff Accountant will be primarily

responsible for bookkeeping tasks for service-based and eCommerce clients. In addition, we are

looking for a candidate that has extensive knowledge of fundamental accounting principles with the

ability to apply these principles in the various bookkeeping jobs assigned. Attention to detail is

crucial as well as the use of critical thinking, experience with various software programs and is

responsible for a consistent schedule and tasks assigned. We are looking for someone who can

bring their knowledge and experience to contribute to the ground floor of a company that offers great

opportunities for growth.

Primary Job Duties

● Bookkeeping for service-based and eCommerce clients

● Management of accounts payable

● Reconciliation of financial accounts

● Sorting and organization of client data in Excel, Google Sheets, etc.

● Preparation of customized reports per client request

● Communication with clients via phone, video conference, e-mail, and Slack

Degree level

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)

Experience

● 3 + years minimum

● Quickbooks Online and Xero

● Adobe Acrobat

● Microsoft Excel and Word

● Slack

● Zoom Video Conferencing

● Zoho Projects

● Ringcentral

● Hubstaff

● Evernote

● Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications

● Detailed oriented is extremely important

● Ability to problem solve using experience, research, and other information

● Responsible and punctual

● Ability to prioritize projects, set goals and schedule time use appropriately
