Job Title: Assistant Facilities Project Manager – Health Care

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking an Assistant Facilities Project Manager – Health Care at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the new 1.1-million-square-foot, 6-building medical complex on East Fort Bliss and have direct responsibility for all operations and maintenance (O&M) effort for the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Has direct responsibility for all operations and maintenance (O&M) effort for a particular site.
  • Schedules PMs, CMs and the parts and materials needed to execute the work within the required completion dates.
  • Coordinates with FM/COR to insure the work is completed without interfering with medical operations.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the FM/COR to understand and maximize customer satisfaction rating. If the FM/COR documents or has a customer complaint the CMM will resolve the issue and report the issue to the Project Manager.
  • Ensures all work is completed within the terms of the contracts. 


  • Technically qualified in the field of Healthcare Facilities Maintenance Management and have 5yrs experience in medical/health care (bedded-inpatient) facility operations and maintenance, including the supervision of a diversified work force responsible for 24-hour (24/7/365) operations, maintenance and repair of medical facility systems.
  • Must have formal training related to the Joint Commission (Environment of Care /Life Safety Code standards).
  • Working experience with NFPA, EPA, TJC, OSHA codes and standards.
  • 5yrs experience with The Joint Commission compliance (maintenance and documentation [including all Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support, Facilities Management (DMLSS-FM) work requests and all supporting testing / certification / verification (in-house or subcontracted) documentation] requirements for Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety (LS) compliance) as required for healthcare facilities.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must have American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification.
